Local Food and Drink

We support local producers and suppliers who live within a reasonable radius of Cheltenham and the Cotswolds.  By cutting down the food miles, we are contributing to the local and regional economy and taking advantage of local produce at its very best to create amazing tastes and flavours from the local area.  The Cotswolds is home to some of best suppliers in the UK and here is an overview of some of the local producers that we partner with. In addition, we ensure only sustainable fish is used in our dishes and you will find Fairtrade chocolate in our recipes.

Homegrown produce

Under the talented culinary direction of our chef Simon, we have started to create our own homemade produce.  For example the honey used in breakfast and in many of our seasonal dishes and desserts comes straight from the bee hives on the roof of the hotel.  The bread on your sandwiches and for your early morning toast is baked in our kitchens and we are also currently maturing our own camembert.

Billy’s Woodland Eggs

Located in nearby Stow-on-the-Wold, our eggs are provided by Billy’s Woodland Eggs, a small, family run business.  They focus on quality and freshness delivering eggs that are usually under four days old and at their best quality to be tasted. Try them on your next cooked breakfast at The Queens Hotel.

Woodchester Valley Vineyard

Home to the world’s best Sauvignon Blancs, we are proud to partner with local winery Woodchester Valley Vineyard who supply a number of vintages on our restaurant and banqueting menus.

Established in 2007, this family run vineyard grows a collection of reds, rose, white and sparkling wines in their three vineyards which stretch across 58 acres. They grow their grapes in a sustainable way and produce over 100,000 bottles of wine per year.  The estate now offers wine tasting tours and expert talks.

HAWKSTONE BREWERY

Producing premium lager and cider, Hawkstone Brewery is located in Bourton-on-the-Water.  It is often a challenging task to brew the perfect pint, taking time and effort to select the best barley crop and wait for the brew to mature.  But the result is a beautiful smooth and more rounded lager.

Special, healthy and religious food options

We recognise there is a growing need to provide plant-based and vegetarian options on our menu to help guests stick to a healthier or special lifestyle and lower our impact on the planet. You will find Victoria’s has various delicious vegan, vegetarian and gluten free options for you to dine on.

There are a growing number of guests that have special dietary requirements due to medical conditions or lifestyle choices. Being a destination that attracts many multinational travellers, we have seen a growing demand for special diets for religious reasons as well.

As an inclusive restaurant we are always happy to cater for any special and religious dietary requirements and do everything we can to meet your needs. Speak to a member of the team if you have any questions about our menu options or have a special dietary requirement.
