Famously known as the home of jump racing, Cheltenham Racecourse has a sterling reputation among horse racing fans the world over. Though most people know and love Cheltenham Racecourse because of the outfits and the atmosphere at the Festival in March or November – and enjoy visiting to see if they can pick a winner or two – this popular venue also plays host to theatre productions and comedy throughout the year.
What’s on at the racecourse
Cheltenham Racecourse is one of the oldest racecourses in the world and hosts several major horse races across the year. The largest of those events, is undoubtedly the Cheltenham Festival in March which attracts hundreds of thousands to the town and the best National Hunt jockeys and trainers around. Outside of the racing calendar, Cheltenham Racecourse has hosted its fair share of music concerts, charity runs and fairs for the whole family.
If you are not lucky enough to be attending one of the race meetings across the year, you can still go on a guided racecourse tour with a behind the scenes look at the weights room, the Gold Cup and the Finishing Post.
